The Dangers of Overtraining

If you want to lose weight, a lot of the information you’re going to read on weight loss will tell you the importance of exercising.  However sometimes people become so eager to lose weight that they over-train.  So how much exercise should you be doing then?

Signs you could be overtraining:-

  • Before you even start exercising you can feel tired with aching muscles.  If this is the case you need to give your body more time to recover.
  • An increased heart rate during the day can indicate overtraining or sickness.
  • If you aren’t able to workout for whatever reason you might start feeling guilty or depressed.  This is a sign that you’re dependant on exercise.
  • Extreme fatigue and depression – you’re body is crying out for rest so that it can repair itself.  Exercise can also become a chore so you might find yourself not wanting to do it any more.

When you ignore what your body is telling your then you might start suffering from some of the following problems which will cause problems with your weight loss efforts and health.

The results of overtraining can include-

  • You can injure yourself if your aren’t giving your muscles and joints enough time to heal.
  • Your immune system can become depressed making your suffer more from colds and other illnesses.
  • You’ll find it difficult to get through your workouts and you might injure yourself if you’re trying to like weights that are too heavy for you.

In order to avoid overtraining you should always listen to your body and allow it time to heal.  However one way to increase recovery time is through good nutrition and supplements.  Supplements that bodybuilders often take include whey protein, MCT oil, Carnitine, D-Ribose and Creatine.  Some people like taking Phen375 fat burners too.
